My sister baked them by herself last week.
지난 주에 내 언니가 혼자서 그것들을 구웠어.

I helped her make them this time.
나는 이번에 그녀가 그들을 만드는 것을 도왔어.

She used a Madeleine mold last week because she didn't have the right one.
그녀는 지난 주에 마들렌 틀을 썼는데, 왜냐하면 그녀는 올바른 것이 없었기 때문이야.

My mom bought a financier mold for us this time.
이번에는 내 어머니가 우리를 위해 휘낭시에 틀을 사 주셨어.

We had to brown the butter for the recipe, unlike with Madeleines.
우리는 마들렌과 달리 레시피에 따라 버터를 태워야 했어.

My sister handled the tricky parts while I helped measure the ingredients.
내 언니는 내가 재료를 계량하는 것을 돕는 동안 어려운 부분을 다뤘어.

The financiers tasted great after cooling a little.
조금 식힌 후에 그 휘낭시에들은 훌륭한 맛이었어.

I realized again how much work goes into baking even small treats.
나는 작은 간식을 구울 때에도 얼마나 많은 노력이 들어가는지 다시 깨달았어.

I will remember this effort every time my sister makes me a snack.
나는 내 언니가 내게 간식을 만들어 줄 때마다 이 노력을 기억할 거야.

Today, my sister and I baked financiers at home. Last week, she baked them all by herself, but this time I helped her out. Last week, she used a Madeleine mold because she didn’t have the right one, but luckily, our mom bought us a proper financier mold for this time. For the recipe, we had to brown the butter, which we didn’t have to do for Madeleines. While I measured the ingredients, my sister took care of the tricky parts. After cooling a bit, the financiers tasted amazing! It made me realize again how much effort goes into baking even small treats. I’ll definitely remember this every time my sister makes me a snack.
